Fun at every destination

One of the advantages of an overland vehicle is the amount of fun you can take with you.

Outdoor cinema

For 3 years, SloMo was setup as a traveling cinema for children around the world. At stops in rural villages, this created ample opportunities for communities to come together, exchange smiles and universal stories around a movie and a campfire. Recently upgraded to new sound and projection systems, the cinema  only takes 10 minutes to setup and includes:

a 12x8 ft / 4x3m retro-projection folding screen, stored in SloMo's chassis. The screen unfolds and is braced with struts against the truck living cell to create a full cinema setup (bring your own seat!)

a digital LCD short throw projector mounted inside SloMo and thus protected from the elements

a powerful stereo sound system with two outdoor speakers on tripods

The whole system runs exclusively on solar power (no generator to ruin the soundtrack)

Star gazing deck

Easily accessible via two roof hatches and an outdoor ladder, the living cell roof can double as a stargazing deck at night, or a wildlife observation deck during day-time. Perched 4m above ground, this provides a unique viewpoint on the surrounding areas.

Fun on wheels

SloMo carries 4 adult bikes on its rear rack (and can pack smaller bikes, folding bikes or bike extensions in its cavernous trunk). Nothing beats exploring a new destination on 2 wheels , exploring nearby wineries or that lake we spotted on the way in. Or you could be distracted by the hammocks and decide to first take a little nap.

Water fun

SloMo's large trunk can accommodate a full size river raft, and its rooftop cargo rails can easily carry inflated SUP boards, or kayaks, or your favorite land sailor.

Snow fun

Skis and snowboards can be stowed in the 2 lockable ski boxes mounted on the cabin roof. What can be better than come back from the slopes to a cozy heated truck, with a warm shower and a hearty meal?

Outdoor fun

While the comfort and safety provided by SloMo is always available, we enjoy outdoor living and our outdoor living room and kitchen are always the first thing we setup once we reach our destination.

Exploring fun

Getting there is only the beginning, the best part is to explore our destination on our very own two legs. Glancing back, we usually can spot SloMo from a very long way away!

SloMo Captain

Born in Africa, raised in Europe, living in California with his family, the captain keeps his hands on the wheels and eyes on the road as SloMo climbs mountain passes and crosses sand dunes, while his crew takes in the views.
